The best 2022 April Fool’s day pranks from brands

Budweiser, Oreo, and McDonald’s are among the companies that posted jokes, pranks, and fake products on April 1st. Here are some of the best.

Brands around the world took April Fools’ Day seriously this year and decided to prank their followers with funny and fake products like a donut-scented perfume, a cookie cream sauce, and a sweet&sour ice cream. Take a look:

Krispy Kreme introduced a donut-scented perfume. The Eau de Glaze Parfum has sweet notes of fresh vanilla crème and comes in a donut-shaped bottle.

Kotex used the April Fools’ Day opportunity to bring awareness to the misconception of “period stigma.” It introduced U Kotex Chocolate Pads made of dark chocolate with raspberry ganache filling.

Bud Light teased Bridgerton-inspired seltzers called ‘The Bud Light Seltzer Really Really Retro Pack’ with flavors including Afternoon Tea, Queen Cake, Duke Delight, and Courtship Cocktail.

McDonald’s Australia introduced the all-new Sweet ‘N Sour Sundae. An ice cream treat with sweet and sour sauce topping, perfect for dipping french fries.

Busch Light partnered with One Tree Planted to launch a limited-edition Pee in a Busch funnel kit that encourages drinkers to pee in a Busch instead of on a tree. Pee can put trees at higher risk for disease and pest infestations.

The funnel is available for purchase with all proceeds will be donated to One Tree Planted — for each dollar, one tree will be planted.

Twitter teased and edit button. A simple but effective tweet.

Sprite shared on social media a limited edition McDonald’s Sprite, because “it hits different.”

Subway UK introducing ‘Eau De Dough’, a diffuser with the smell of their freshly-baked bread.

Something not that crazy since they launched a real garlic cheesy bread reed diffuser back in 2019.

Oreo and Heinz an ‘Oreo cookie cream’ packet with just the creme. This is actually not a bad idea

I love when brands don’t take life too seriously and have fun creating products and designs that some fans might like. Which of these products would you like to see in real life?
